Love your photos Ron and hope to have time to view more. At the beginning of my photo journey. Have shot for over 30 years, but just getting serious. You are very inspiring. I agree with your perspective that our province can continually surprise us with its amazing beauty, and that we just need to look for it. I also appreciate your information on shops and printers. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thanks for showing us the beauty in our own back yard .
Guest, I do not have many I send to any labs, however I do get my photo's canvas mounts...One of the best places to have them done is.....
prices and shipping is reasonable for the quality you get...
Thank you for your comments,
Can you recommend a couple of professional photo labs in Edmonton?
When it comes to colour, you rock. Nice job.
I was going through some of my old files and found a pic of you and me standing in front of my Mustang and a big tree when we were down in California on our Mexico trip. That got me thinking about you and what you were doing now. So I googled you and found that photography is your passion. Your name came up many times on Google almost always associated with a picture. If you want to contact me I am (my last name spelled backward)@hotmail.com. Take care hope to hear from you. BD

Hello Ron. Born and raised in Wetaskiwin, I have a very soft spot in my heart for the city and my memories of it. Your photos are marvelous, many though I hardly recognize as there has been so many changes. Went to school with you and your sister. The pretty little blonde Jeannie. Was a grad in '64.
Just wondering if you have an email address where I can email you in regards to photography.
Thanks Ron, your pictures of Wetaskiwin are fantastic and memories flooded back to me of my childhood in the 50's. It was great to see photos from the air which provided me with the chance to view many old buildings associated with my childhood. So very much appreciated, John Moore

Ron, Nice Mayan Rivera gallery! Our family (4) did a condo down in Playa del Carmen and rented a car for the week we were there. We chilled a lot!

Ron, thanks for the visit. Bullet, I don't think in the park, but when they are young and stupid the ears get tangled into thornbush etc. and as it is soft at that stage it makes a scar. We see a lot of ellies with damaged ears. The normal damage is part of the ear, like a "V" shape missing. Regards.Arno
Thank you for your comment. Nice gallery.
One day, I will reach your level. Your pictures possesses a mysteriously motivating aura. But for now, I just need to figure out how to use this stupid Photoshop.
There will come a day I will come and visit your mountains. I love the mountains too. Yosemite is magic I am returning there in the fall. I am going to Yellowstone and the Tetons next week. Watch for more mountains. :-)
Looking through your photos was such a pleasure. I especially enjoyed your flowers! Alida
I like your gallery. Check out mine if you have the chance.
Thanks for the comment! ;)
Your galleries are terrific. Some of your goose pics are really special. I love the babies under the mom. Your image of the deer in the yellow flowers is a great catch. Also, your sunset gallery is really, really nice. Thank you for visiting my galleries.

Excellent galleries/images. My few visits to Canada was extremely enjoyable. Beautiful country and very nice people! Plan on visiting this year. Also like your outlook on photography. I also enjoy others enjoying my images along with those on pbase. Take care and keep up the good work.
I put you on my favorites list. :-)
Thank you for the nice comment on my Lake Tahoe picture and my gallery. Your galleries are really gorgeous.
There is a striking similarity between the Canadian and Swedish landscapes. It is certainly more than the northern latitudes may justify. I enjoyed your well componated colorful pictures. The "Alberta" gallery have always been one of my favourites.
Always enjoy a visit to your galleries - you have such beautiful work here. Cheers from your left coast :)
Thanks for the invitation to your gallery. I really enjoyed my visit. Great quality in your Sunrise/Sunsets and the Alberta's landscapes. You certainly live in a beatiful place.
Craig R. Steketee
Thanks for the comment!! No words to discribe the beauty of your work!!!
Please stay in touch firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for your kind comments. You have many nice shots for the Sunrise/Sunset, I enjoy them very much !! I was so lucky to have chance to take some pic of Sunset here before the end of Summer, now it's raining and raining...bad weather begins !
When you mounted the lS lens on a tripod, you better turn off the IS function, otherwise the tiny vibration of the IS system will reduce the sharpness of the image. I had made a test before for my friend's 70-210 IS lens, it's true. I remember that in the User's Manual of Canon's first IS lens, 75-300 USM IS , Canon suggest that if you set the lens on a tripod, don't use the IS function, but it didn't explain why. I don't know whether Canon still mention this in their latest IS lenses's manual or not. You may try it out and make extreme enlarge for the image in your pc for comparison.
I have few pictures using the Moon in Special Effect gallery, when I took pic for the Moon, I didn't lock up the mirror (I forgot to do it, you just remind me !), after exposure adjustment, I focused the moon manually, then set the camera to Contiune Mode and take few shots (maybe 5 shots or more) by a cable releae, then choose the sharper one.
Abbotsford Airport is not an ideal place for taking air show picture, as you know, the direction/angle for shooting is always against the Sun (backlight), next time I will try to go to the opposite side of the runway for better angle (but I may not be allowed to go to that area, I might be shot - not by camera but bullets!). There was one more guy from Alberta in the air show, Capt James for the CF-18 Hornet demo, excellent !! We are proud for our great Air Force , especially the Snowbird, so amazing !!!
Take care Ron!
Thanks for your kind comments. For my firworks, I set my camera manually, Shutter speed at Bulb and aperture was aroung f8-f16, when I released the shutter with cable, I held a black paper card to cover the lens, and move it for about 4-10 sec exposure if the shape of firwork is ideal and beatiful, But as you know, luck is very important because you would never know the details (like brightness, shape, etc.) of each firework...
You are the expert for that! I enjoy for viewing your site very much, especially the Sunset/rise gallery, wonderful and perfect !
Happy shooting !
Hey Ron, Thanks for your comments regarding my Heron gallery. I just browsed through some of your galleries and looks like you like to shoot similar subjects as myself. I'll check back again.
Alberta is one of my favorite places. I have to admit, however, I'd never heard of your town, Wetaskiwin.
I was relieved to find names of places in this gallery that I recognized. (Grin.)
You have some great photos. In addition to the Canadian scenes, I especially liked the Yucatan photos and the flowers.
