Architecture

When I hear architecture, one name comes to my mind: Frank Lloyd Wright. This is a home he designed in 1908 here in Rochester. It is the Edward E Boynton house. It has been continuously occupied since it was built and is now under the care of a Preservation group so it should last forever.

I take it no-one actively lives there now then - which is kind of a shame. Fab bit of architecture :)

I knew it was a Lloyd-Wright just by looking at it...such a unique style. Great photo.

Looking at the thumbnail it looked like a Wright. I grew up in the Western suburbs of Chicago and have been around Wright homes all my life. I worked with a teacher that owned one in one of the Northern suburbs and we were able to attend a Christmas party there. She said that it was quite nice but a real pistol to keep up. I guess roof leaks were the worst of the problems.

Very nice picture, Patti.
