Can't comment on the lens issue, but that is a corker of a photo - just love those clouds...but just think, if you'd had a longer lens you'd have prolly not had such a dramatic composition; silver linings and all that :o)

I agree, you need the 100-400L, but then that would put the 5d2 on the back burner, decisions, decisions, you dont really need it this shot is great as it is and tack sharp.
