05/22/2006 190721 What Happened?

I'm not sure what happened, but once a long time ago I was a very young boy. Then I became a teenager, but still couldn't see any difference when I looked into the mirror. Time continued to pass, and I continued to see the same me, but was surprised when little boys and girls would say, "Mr." when addressing me. Then occasionally I started hearing the word "old" to refer to me. I don't understand it! What happened to the young boy? I'm still young inside! Who is this old man that people see when they look at me? And what are all these wrinkles appearing on my face and around my eyes? Well, today marks the completion of my first 45 years of life. Time sure seems to go by faster now than it did when I was young...

Forty-five? I've got *socks* that old! You look great -- and lot like your dad in your earlier snapshot. Great pic. Happy birthday.

Ian: I like your advice. That's pretty much how I've lived up to this point, so I'm just going to continue that way! Young forever it is, then! :)

Eve: I remember meeting you at one of my races at Ascott Raceway, and I remember our first kiss. :) Thanks for saying I'm still young in your eyes!

Thanks for all the kind "Happy Birthday" wishes everyone!

Paul, I was going to say something trite about you only feel as old as the woman you feel or keep photographing young ladies and your blues will soon pass. But when it comes down to it who the hell cares about wrinkles and grey hairs? Age is a state of mind, give in to it and you’re done for before your time. Keep going with the young man inside and you’ll be fine.
Me? I’ve a few years on you but decided years ago not to grow old – I intend to live forever and I’m doing it one day at a time. So far, So good!!
May I add my congratulation and hope you had a good day.

I remember the day we first met, and you still look like that adorable, hot, funny and wonderful guy I remember 20 some years ago. You take care and remember, your rainbow loves you.
