snow rings - brent

Kind of reminds of tree rings - I guess all patterns in nature are a result of time passing...

As others have said, this image evokes eons of geologic time in an exceedingly simple and transient moment. A stunning capture, Brenat!

Brent, this is very nice. simple but effective take on the theme. I do see the resemblance to tree rings but more like windblown sandstone or layers of sediment petrified like from the sides of deep canyons. Very nice B&W image.

This looks like sandstone, the effect is amazing and you have captured superbly.

Love it - seems very delicate especially with the tiny bright crystals. You just want to run your hand to feel the texture - it does remind one of eroded sandstone but will feel very different. Love the tonality and how the shadow become more fuzzy the further away from the stick.

Agreed with you, Brent. This brings me on mind eroded sandstone. I like the composition and conversion in this. endika

I love this Brent. I love the wind blown waves. The snow untouched except by the wind. You have such a good eye for natures art and beauty. Wonderful patterns!! Perfectly exposed.
