I have always like the edge of where elemental transfer between states takes place. What is interesting is the obvious slow rate of transition - everything looks so static. Niclely composed and interesting shot! brent

I appreciate the comments. We don't get too much winter in Maryland: usually it's just enough to muck up traffic but not enough to get out and really play around in. Kind of the worst of both worlds :-)

That is so interesting, on one hand I'm jealous you get real winters but at the same time I'm not!
Love the way you have the reflections and how they are translucent in the water.

The top portion combined with the reflection looks like the petrified skeletal remains of a prehistoric toothed bird or and extinct species of camian. And as you wrote. Seasons pass in time to blend into the next. Well done.

Shirley, I used to live in Montana so I feel for you. Even with ten feet (3 meters elsewhere in the world) of solid snowpack, we always know that the seasons pass with time, one into the other and back again. Stay warm!

Lucky you, it looks like your winter is melting away. I like this for the theme. I'm not sure it is melting though, I don't see any drips in the water, drat! :o)
