disparate elements - brent

- changes: added name, re-edit to not hide the glass but make it an integral element of the comp.

There is something in the elements and the way the light works that I like. I might play with it a bit more.

I like this image for its composition. The stem leads me to the trapped quill in the glass. I agree that this will look great framed and ona a wall.

I love the textures as well as the shapes in this image. And at the risk of disagreeing with those who know more than I, this orientation is more dynamic and better suits the theme of leading the eye to move, in my opinion, than a more static vertical orientation.

I agree with Charlie suggestion. You like feathers at the moment !

An elegant composition. It would look great in a wide black frame (especially vertical) on a large, dark or off-white wall. My eye is especially drawn to the graceful curve of the stem.

Excellent......flip it 90 CCW otherwise it leads you right out of the picture.

I always think of ice when I see your shots so almost immediately I thought this feather was stuck in one of the river ice drops and I thought "Boy how lucky is Brent!" Its still a great shot knowing it is glass.

Brent! The first one was good, but I like this one even more. This is I have waiting for with comment :-)) Is it that feather elements are visible in the stand (left Side)of the glass? Beautiful light and all.

Nicely picked out details in the fraying feather, the colour and tone suit the subject too.
You must tell us who you are though :-)
