Green muck!
by ArtP

Stump Pond algae bloom concentrated near the spillway. Layer upon layer of foul smelling muck... but I kept thinking, 'gee, this would make good fertilizer!'

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending how you look at it) this flow was right next to the path, and I took this shot from dry land. I have to say tho, Stump Pond has looked better in past years

At first glance I though this was the skin of some sort of reptile, then noticed the puddle of water near the bottom. As you say, layers of ooze and slime, I hope you didn't have to step in it.
A true stinker of a shot :-)
