Spinal Tap-Deers Spine-Shirley

Most of its skeleton was in the woods but I liked it's spine best. Ewww I had to touch this thing!

Hey Shirley, this is my first good look at the gallery, and this image is a real surprise, and yet another v.appropriate take on the theme. You definately captured the structure with a complimentary diagonal comp (good stuff). I would have liked to see some more textures in the highlit areas tho? - ps>> v.glad u chose b&w for this one ;-). Cheers, adrian

LOL I didn't really mind touching it but, I'm getting old and was afraid I would forget I touched it and put my fingers in my mouth or something gross like that. :o)) Glad you both liked it. I nearly took it out because of the slight gross factor. As Brent said it wasn't quite plain ol' bones yet and it was stinky. Thanks guys, I'll leave it.

It doesn't get more down to earth than this Shirley. Very nicely done. Classic composition and your conversion as Brent said is right on. Very earthy. Nothing wrong with getting close to it!

Haha! You do it too! Photograph dead animals. I got a few pictures of deer bones, dead racoons, frozen duck, etc. I always feel a bit ghoulish (but do it anyways). Very nice B&W conversion - glad you got it before the bones were cleaned - adds an interesting texture :-) Good going Shirley! brent
