A very appealing shot!

G'day Brent - i've just read your response below, and the sense of calm, dare i say spirituality comes through in spades here. The composition adds to the subtlety, with the 'church' like arches revealing a golden warm, and textured anchor. lovely. thanx, adrian

What does it for me on this image is the sunlit arch in the background. It adds a layer of depth that is pleasing. :)

Ah! I love being around bridges (there must be a psychological insight there somewhere). I think when you love something it comes through in your pictures. I could not believe the luck I had with this light, I could not have planned the time better. Thanks for your nice comments - and thanks for the Challenge, Charlie, or I never would have gone out after working all day to go and get the shot (the whole late afternoon was like a balm :-) brent

I just love everything about this picture. I don't really know why it worked so well but, it worked SO well!!! It's very beautiful and all it is, is light and concrete. How'd you do that Brent!

Brent,
The range of tones and light here is just amazing. I have looked a few dozen times and still can't digest the space beyond the first opening. It is a bit of a puzzle but somehow I hope I don't figure it out. You with me on this or am I not seeing something? Great shot man.

I like this shot, the color and shadows in the doorway provide interest.
