I redid it with the Oly 35mm & the ex 25, this time using a tripod.

Its now at a resolution of 28 by 20 (&2/5) pixels. Or about a half Kpix.

I think i managed a substancial increase in (per pixel) sharpness especially in the corners, and using iso 100 an improvement of the noise levels. Unfortunately in the process i burned out one pixel in the green cannel and lost some shadow detail in the green and blue shadow for about 8 pixels. Still worth it IMO.

Have you ever seen such Oly blues in brown eyes before ?

PS some people complain about banding, but i can't see any

Oooooh! Very nice ... unusual but dramatic. And I agree that in this instance, the thumbnail actually gives a better perspective.
