What a brilliant idea! I'm sure in an emergency during rush hour traffic this paramedic could make it to a patient faster than a typical ambulance and seconds do count! I'm sure he has a defibulator (sp?) in there, along with other things. I've never seen a bicycle ambulance but, I'm very glad I did.

A great catch. I have seen bikes used for many things but not a ambulance.

Everything about this picture says London, from the double red lines, the black cabs and of course the cyclist braving the traffic. It's so funny to see these paramedics going around like this, I wonder if they run red lights like all the others :-)

What an unusual sight, and a fine catch, Danielle. That insulated box on the bike might be the quickest way to get biologicals across town through traffic. Or is it a cost-cutting measure? :-) Either way, I like the shot and am also intrigued by the cars.
