Shirley, thanks for the comments. Yes there was a small dust storm going on. There were eight of us on this trip. We stopped our cars and seven of us are photographers and we all jumped out like a bunch of Japanese tourists! I can say that since I was born in Japan and am half Japanese! My wife and all four of my children handle a camera very well.

You've managed to make that 14mm appear to be 7mm! It's that sky and the long stretch of highway. Really a wonderful composition. It looks like you've even got some dust devils stirring up near the center of the shot too. Wonderful blacktop also.

Thanks Colin - It was a very flat color shot but I knew there was great potential for this shot in B&W. I did some histogram adjusting with four different layers in Paint Shop Pro 12 to make it pop. I am a neophyte at working with layers so I hope to improve this photo. -Jim
