Full Albino - Common Grackle

This is the only full albino bird I have ever photographed in the wild. This young bird was found at the Coldwater NWR in North Mississippi. It was being fed by attentive parents. The bird was pure white with red eyes, pale bill and legs.

yes, our regular clan of grackles has brought along with them an albino. This is a first for us and find it very exiting. He seems alot less afraid than the other grackles, I wander if he has any sense of his uniqueness.
We hope that he continues to visit.

Jeff, that is one weird ass looking bird!! Congratulations on finding it and showing us all these other wonderful pictures. We had a very light red-tailed haw at the winter AOS meeting with just some red on the terminal band area and a completely white (or else it looked like that) on the breast. Keep cootin'. All the best, Alison and Charles
p.s. See you in April I hope.
