Mike Todd and I were given a start as this bird appeared Teed up on a dirt clod in an open field in Dyer Co, TN. We had been surveying for Lapland Longspurs with the thought of finding a Snow Bunting for Mike's TN list. The sun and heat made for tough photos but you can still see the over all wash out of colors.
