17th December, hooray it's snowing!

A clear, crisp arctic blast wept down overnight.
And this afternoon, it started to snow.
Tamsin was off school so we watched it through the window at first.
Then we nipped up for a walk to the stones http://www.pbase.com/northstar37/stones
Since she seemed to have made a great recovery.
A bitterly cold wind though.
Time for some hot chocolate,
then a hot bath and off to work for me...

Beautiful composition. I like the silhouette from the tree.

Gorgeous images, Andy. The stones are such a curious, amazing setting.

I call that glistening cold. There is a rumor that we may get a few flakes of snow in Louisiana on Christmas Eve.

It does look cold but I must confess, the only time in the year I cheer for snow, is the week before Christmas. Probably boyhood memories of living in the northern US States... then Christmas always had snow. I do like this view you've capture of looking out across the plain at a wintery white.

I'm only 60 miles south of you and there's no sign of snow here. Lucky me.

Oh, but that looks soooo cold. Last Saturday it reached 104.9 degrees where I live. Somewhere in the middle of both extremes would be nice.

Un jolie image mélancolique, j'aime beaucoup la lumière sue le champs de neige au fond en arrière plan. Un beau paysage qui commence à "sentir" l'hiver

Ahhhh snow, we don't get that here very often (about once every 3 years or so!). Very wintry pic, looks freezing cold!!
