I'm not sure what needs to be corrected in my caption. This snap was taken in 1982 and the cow was standing in the water ditch and 15 minutes later when I got home to the Batura Inn the owner'cook (whose name I forget) was filling his cooking pots with the water. No complaints, and the food was great! It is the life I lived and loved. Are you from Passu (I think)? I know Passu is more advanced now (is it under water or...?). Passu is so beautiful. I would love to get back up there. In 1989 I was in Gilgit, but I was on horseback traveling from Peshawar-Chitral-Gilgit-Kashmir and unfortunately Passu was not on the way (a long detour on horse from Gilgit to Upper Gojal).
