Yes, how many times do we need to recite Sura Al Maun (or any of Qu'ran Sharif) for it to sink in? I know waht you mean, but still Eid Milad was quite a sight for a new young resident of Peshawar!
being peshawrian i know the psychology of peshawrians....almost all are shop keepers and they dont have social life..
they spend money on peer faqirs and sufis and on meelaad and shab e qadar like things. they will not help their poor brother but will spend thousand of rupees on lighting buildings, mehfils and meelad like stuffs. They just want to satifiied and justified their selfs.
dear firend dont take it offensive i grew up in peshawar and know very well the social life of peshawar

I now live in Tampa FL. Moved out of Nishtarabad in 1984 and left peshawar in 1994. I have been to San Francisco quite a few times. Do you still have a shop there. Some friends arranged a dinner in an Afghan restaurant but a landslide damaged the restaurant. So settled for shalimar and its pakistani food.
BTW is there any way I can purchase this picture. Thanks again for taking these great pictures.
Asalaamu'aleikum wrora,
Thank you for your comment. It put tears in my eyes and made me so glad I made this site. Where do you live nowadays? I miss my home in Peshawar daily!
