This brings back such great memories to see this picture. My dad, Herman Broere, used to work here from 1957 until its closing. I, as a child, loved walking to the docks and bringing my dad his lunch. The boats were amazingly beautiful and such a pride of workmanship was very evident.
I worked for George Hinterhoeller and his wife at the time when it was Hinterhoeller Yachts and they were marvelous people with a big heart for everyone. Yes, George was a very talented and generous person and loved by many.
I do hope that some of his talents were passed onto his beautiful children.
