This photograph, taken from N427KS in September, 2002, shows an area on the upper Deming Glacier
that is collapsing. This photograph, and my curiosity about what was going on here, led to my connection with
Dr. Kevin M. Scott at the Cascades Volcano Observatory in Vancouver, WA.
My hangar partner, Dave Adams, was with me on this flight. This photograph was from one of my old film cameras.
My first photographs of Baker in winter were still a few months in the future.
My first digital camera, a Canon G2, was purchased not long after this photograph was taken.
