A Skokomish Day

i'd originally intended to add images of this river to my 'By Rivers in Fall' gallery, but there were so many I figured they deserved their own space. a day spent wandering in the Olympic National Forest and National Park by the North Fork of the Skokomish river that rises high on the east side of the Olympic mountains, runs into Lake Cushman, joins the South Fork, and flows into the Hood Canal through Annas Bay on the Skokomish Indian reservation. The river's usually just called the Skoke.

Familiar on a cellular level and I return there over and over again to see all aspects in another season, in different lights, one a different day. Thank you Nirvan for a fine capturing!
