Great set of tracks in the sand. The legs on the right balance the shot nicely from a compositional perspective and add some variety to the color.

Your pic makes me smile. Yea, I can visualize a dance too. It has a whimsical feel to it that draws you into the frame. Found myself examining the various prints!

Hi Niamh, Veronica,

It was a bit cold but still very enjoyable...first day of the year barefoot on the sand!. When I thought about this picture I convinced Doriana to "model" for me. She started out slowly but got in the spirit quick and she did indeed do an very happy dance ;-). We were laughing very hard thinking about what the scene may look like to all the passerby (we were just a few meter from the boardwalk). I could not resist joining her in the silly dance. We both had a real great time taking this shot! That made me choose the title "Written in the Sand" from a Santana song

"Nothing lies between
A woman and a man
When their love is written in sand "

Oh, I've always enjoyed the sight of overlapping footprints like this. It reminds me of Snoopy doing his 'happy dance'. I like it as an allover textured pattern very much.

Bit cold for walking about without shoes...? I like the subtle light and colours and the wide angle.
