GALLERY:: Summer in Oregon, July 2007

Most of these image were made in the Colombia River Gorge which is about a half hour outside of Portaland, Oregon. The rest were made in Portland. The water falls in the Gorge are astounding. I have tried here to present images that give a feeling of the Gorge, rather that represent what I have seen.

Congratulations, Tim -- a brilliant gallery in terms of expression. You do exactly as you say in your introduction. You tell us how this place feels, as opposed to how it looks, and you do so by using light, time, and space to abstract the scene down to its essence. Your new Olympus body has already paid dividends -- I can see the effect of image stabilization in many of the images (unless, of course, you were using a tripod.)
