These images were made during two trips to Oregon in October to see Erin, my daughter. On the first trip Deborah and I took a scenic by-way and spent a night at the Crater Lake National Park Lodge on the rim of Crater Lake in Oregon. The last part of our journey was through a snow storm and the only reason we were allowed by the ranger to go on to the Lodge was because we had four wheel drive on our truck.
We arrived in the evening in the snow storm and had a visibility of about 3 ft. In the morning I stumbled out of bed at about 7:30 and looked out the curtain draped window. Deborah says that she has never seen me get dressed and out the door so fast. The snow had stopped and the morning light was, as I hope you will agree, astounding.
