This transition features a segment that goes from a length of old Tru-Scale Code 100 track, to an Atlas Code 100 re-railer, to a section of old Custom Trax Code 83 (real wood ties on high quality cork, no longer available, and featured in large areas of the rest of my layout), to 25 year old ME Code 83 rescued from the now torn-down yard, and eventually connects with new Peco Code 83 on the other end. Note the custom splice plate that had to be fabricated to go from the old half inch plywood to the new 3/4". The short section of thinner sub-roadbed and Tru-Scale works perfectly and extends into a finished area that would be difficult and un-necessary to rework, so it stayed.
