Splashing Drops

It's amazing how falling drops can create variety of interesting forms and shapes. Thirst images were taken using single drops from relatively short distance. Others were taken using multiple drops at different rate and longer distance to create more complex shapes.

I think these are even more amazing considering the gear you used. When I saw them I thought DSLR, dedicated macro lens en external flash. Boy was I wrong. Excellent work!

Absolutely great work. I enjoyed every photo. It takes lot of patience and perseverence to get these kind of photos. Last week I tried doing it...for the first time...and I used similar settings...as far as ISO and Shutter speed go..However I got just 5-6 good once from around 200 that I clicked. I really want to know what is your setup in terms of lighting...Water...dropping water droplets..Shooting at what angle...stuff like that...It would be really really helpful...Thanks

I know loads of people take these sorts of shots, but how do you go about setting them up? What do you drop, do you use and particular lighting, how much post production is involved etc... I've always liked these sorts of pics, but being new to cameras don't really know how to recreate them. Also, I notice you take the pics at iso 50, is this essential as I have a Canon 300D which only goes up to iso 100. Thanks for any tips.
