I love Jazz. But I did no love it at all until my late twenties. Rock of 60' and 70' was and is my music. But in the middle of my twenties influenced by my friends, little by little I started listen Jazz. First dixieland, then big bands, then quartets, sextets, different styles, more and more.
For many years there are two major Jazz events in Toronto in summer. Toronto and Beaches Jazz festivals. Couple a weeks ago I was passing main venue of Toronto Jazz Festival. Usually half empty at noon, this time it was packed.
I got in and found myself in the beautiful place full of swing. It was Jim Galloway swing surprise session. Photography was not prohibited and in 10 minutes I found myself enjoying two my favorite things - listening Jazz and taking pictures. I was lucky to get very close to the musicians, who played one wonderful themes after another.
From the fist moment it was clear to me I have to make this gallery monochrome. The music and the emotions should not be distracted by color.
