Oddfellows ?

Both Strong and Sad. So many walk past the street people looking away, ignoring them won't make them disappear. Excellant capture.

The impact and message inherent in this photograph is almost unnerving. So much mood - as others have said, extremely powerful. Outstanding in every way.

A photo that speaks a thousand words that too few people ever hear. Brilliantly captured.

If an image could speak a thousand words, this one does it. Very, very well done in every aspect....

Every so often I see a photo thta is really moving. This is one of them. It has to be her look. Tough shot to take but sensitively done I think. v

For some, the new year does not matter as much as a new day, or a new cold night, or a new hour without food. The image itself is remarkable, with the excellent toning and high contrast. Excellent work, Michael.

A really powerful image for all sorts of reasons. I think the Oddfellows stone just adds to the atmosphere.

As others have said, the tones are great on this.
I will say the thing that draws me the most in this gallery are the faces you show. The situation and accompaniments (blankets, street, etc) are important and looked at, but the faces quickly take over the image.
Her face is another that makes me want to cry. There is such a look of hopelessness there. Of not expecting much because she's never had it. She looks worn, tired ... she looks like she's given up.
Bravo on your photos in this gallery...

Great picture for a dramatic scene, the postprocessing technique enhances the feelings.
Very touching!

People should see this shot. You are very good at street work too.
