I was a city girl.
I would have never imagined to feel comfortable in the countryside.
But I have learned to love it.
You know what I mean, I was one of those people
who think that vegetables grow already cleaned in supermarket…
I keep on having an atavic, scared mistrust for cows,
chicken and all farm animals.
The silence of countryside
(which is a myth, countryside is never silent, there are all kinds of noises whispers, cries…)
worries me, rather than giving me peace.
In spite of all that I can perceive the beauty of nature,
as it’s displayed in simple country villages and their environment,
even though I look at that with a slight distant state of mind,
as one might look at a superb painting
which shows something totally alien.

In this gallery I’m trying to find a more familiar harmony
with all what surrounds the little town where I live.
I take pictures of what I see, at random
and then I look at them to put order in my sensation
and then I discover something unexpected,
which really speaks to me…
Usually it works.

All the photos of this gallery, which should be considered in progress,
have been taken in an area within 15 kilometres from my home.
No need to take long trips to discover an amazing world…
