The subtle chuckle of monks bathing in the river,
the perfumed smell of tiny yellow flowers hanging in the black willow of women’s hair,
the amalgam of colours echoed in the shimmering water of the lake,
the sweet taste of cheroot leaving a hint of smile in my lips,
the splash of icy water coming from the hose of the merrymakers...
all of these are memories of Myanmar playing ceaselessly in my conscious awareness.

The bottomline: Myanmar is a feast to the senses.
It is a dust of the golden past swept into the hesitant door of modernity.
Myanmar breathes life. MYANMAR is the HEARTBEAT of GENTLE PEOPLE.

With 5 other photo enthusiasts, I travelled around Myanmar between 10-16 April.
In a span of 7 days, I took 4 airplane rides, smoked 1 stick of cheroot,
drank 2 bottles of Myanmar beer, wore lungi for one afternoon,
sailed 6 hours along Inle Lake, was guided by 4 tour guides, and took over 5,000 pictures.
But Myanmar is beyond numbers. Myanmar is life.
MYANMAR is the HEARTBEAT of GENTLE PEOPLE.
