It is the echoing incongruous points that kindle the imagination here, Manny -- the toe and the bow draw the eye in two different directions at once. As Xin says, simplicity rules. Less is truly more here.

I call this, "Song of a Fisherman"

Tranquil morning
Crystal clear water
A young fisherman and his routine life
Gently
He dips his foot on the water
To feel for his catch
He sings a song
A song of serenity
A song of enchantment
He looks ahead
Forward to the day
The big net
To be filled
Forward to the day
His ricebowl
To be full

Simplicity rules! Your camera, this time, sketches such an atmosphere, with great terseness yet hovering emotions. V!

Yes, I also thought the high key treatment was particularly suitable for this scene, and had a similar picture in my gallery on Inle Lake. Cheers.

The high key treatment works superbly here Manny... when I was there I thought I had found heaven on Earth :-)
