No Parking?

Isn't it funny how the things which catch a photographer's eye aren't necessary the ones the tourist board would like to promote?
We went to Carlingford this afternoon. I like Carlingford out of season, when it's possible to get a parking space and a space in a coffee shop.
The trouble with taking a dog with you is you have to take turns at going to look in shops and end up drinking coffee 'al fresco' in the rain.
Still, I wouldn't have spotted this nice piece of dereliction if it hadn't been my turn to mind Fudge while himself had a quick peep in a second hand shop.

Not sure whether you muted the colours of the background there, but whether you did or it was all natural it still works well. The slightly asymmetric structure works as a compliment to the slightly asymmetric colours.

I love this little tucked away corner, with the old whitewashed walls and bits of vegetation. V

Makes for an interesting shot though! Are you sure it's not a garden gnome in hiding?

Funny how cones appear in strange places, usually statue hats. I really like a bit of dereliction, this is great.

Well seen, the cone adds the necessary amount of interest

I think not Parking here would be a wise choice

Interesting story behind the picture. The cone adds to the old structure.

That red exclamation point is just the right touch on this interesting image!

This is such an unusual photo of nothing much but which, in fact, has turned out to be a very interesting photo. Helped, of course, by your very good report. v

Oh this is very good. I love the distressed and decays alleyway. Great shot of color from that red cone! V

Marvelous! Love the composition, mood, textures and the bit of red. V

Nice splash of red there! You've done a wonderful job capturing the decaying feeling of the building!
Guest 18-Nov-2012 22:51
You could see the decay so very well, magnificent work of art!

Great alley photo showing the usually unseen side. The cone makes a bright colorful counterpoint to the buildings. V.
