Summer has arrived, at least for the time being, with welcome sunshine and blue skies.
This is one of the last apple blossoms in the garden - there weren't many this year, perhaps because the weather has been so cool up until now.
These old trees were planted by my grandfather and still produce a good crop of cooking apples most years. By now they are more or less organic as we just let them get on with it.
