Processed Cherries

Normally I don't do much tweaking to images before uploading them except for a bit of brightness/contrast if called for, sharpening and cropping.
I felt like playing around with this a bit - would appreciate some feedback as to whether it' attractive or a 'dog's dinner'.
On a dull dreary day these blossoms in the office car park were a welcome reminder that spring has arrived.

I am with Carl, you did a great job. It is amazing to see cherry blossoms in February. I better get out and check the neighborhood! V!

Spring has sprung! Still waiting for the Daffs here. Love the delicate shade of pinks and the flower detail.

Works for me...I think your pp has brought out the details wonderfully...Beautifl Spring image Mairead...BV

Might be a little dark, but its very good with the strong color like that and too light might spoil it. So just a touch on the brightness

a bit extra on colour and contrast perhaps...still the boldness suits these hardy harbingers of spring..

Looks beautiful to me - can't really say you hurt the shot because I can't tell what you did!

I'm sure whatever you did only made it better! A lovely spring image!

Looks bright and attractive, a sure messenger of spring. You post-processing is not distracting, so must be ok!
Sheila28-Feb-2012 03:38
I can't tell what you've done so it must be ok. Pretty image.

Looks good to me. I wouldn't have know it was processed if you didn't say so, and that is often the best kind of post-processing. ;-) Nice work.

I think they're beautiful and to be honest, I find the post processing very subtle. Lovely flowers and color. V.

Looks great to me anyway, ah Spring.
Excellent work Mairéad.V.

I think it's worked; you've maintained the textures of the flowers, maintained the essential colours, the background colours are nicely abstract for the foreground flowers to rest upon. (Or, more precisely, to pop out from.)

Looks pretty good for a dogs dinner. Seriously good processing

Spring has most certainly arrived in your neck of the woods! What a beautiful and cheerful image! V

Excellent colours. V.

They are a hit! The colour is very 'Springy', for these early blossoms.

Thinking about it, I like it because it feels modern. Most cherry blossom photos are more staid, like Japanese water colors. This cherry POPS!

Lovely pinks !

I happen to like the strong colors and contrast! V
