This is the main entrance to Dundalk's biggest shopping centre ,The Marshes. Its architecture echoes that of older buildings in town, with this pillared entrance inspired by the courthouse.
I don't usually go shopping here as there's little to interest me - the clothes shops mainly cater for skinny teenagers, the book store is disappointing, and there's no camera shop.
I know this isn't a great night shot but it will have to do. It would obviously have benefitted from the use of a tripod but I was worried enough by being spotted by the security men without wanting to draw attention to myself - apart from the fact that my tripod was safely gathering dust at home. Maybe one of these nights I'll take it out for a trip.
