Warriors of The Square

Went to the reopening of Dundalk's Market Square this evening. It looks terrific and these glass panels encasing bronze sculptures by artist John Behan of figures from the legend 'The Tain' (Or Cattle Raid of Cooley) are magnificent. There was a fantastic atmosphere with lots of people there to see the switching on of the new water feature and the Christmas tree.
Most people seemed very impressed with what has been done (apart from the begrudgers on Facebook).
Have more pics to post over the weekend, when I'll also catch up with looking at everyone's pics and commenting - promise.

the dreaded Hound of Ulster himself then carving a slash through the throng...the square warm and inviting in parts, glistening with promise in others...never mind the begrudgers with atmosphere like this...V
