Green

I know it's all the rain which makes Ireland so green but at this stage I could do with a little less rain and a little more sunshine. Autumn is normally my favourite season and in recent years I haven't been disappointed with sunny days and glorious colours. This year, however, has seen the wet weather which dominated our summer carry on. The skies are laden with grey clouds and when it's not actually raining, it feels as though you are walking in a cloud. Frankly I'm fed up with it as this stage. It's no good for taking photos and it's no good for walking the dog - he mightn't mind get soaked but I do.
On the plus side, Ireland have now made it to a play-off place for Euro 2012.

It's little beauty like this that we need to get us through the tough weather days (or months as it may be!). V

a tiny archipelago of emerald isles against that sea of grey...same weather here now, and I'm starting to look at waterproof compact cameras as a solution...well done to at least reach the playoffs, and that without Robbie Keane to lead the line...

Rain does bring out the color and depth of many photographs - just like this lovely image!

I like the composition and dof - it works very well. The vibrant and moist green is lovely too ;)

It seems you are getting all the rain that so many other places want! But you do get some gorgeous images in the rain. This is a real delight. V

If only we could share your rain with Texas. We finally had a good rain, after a year of sun and 100+ temps every day. I heard that this weather pattern is going to last perhaps another 6 months to a year... I hope not. Pretty, pretty green ivy... V

Congratulations on making it to the play-off. Love the greens and the bokeh. Pray for sunlight. :) V

Yes, dripping wet clinging ivy is a very good metaphor for our current weather style. Lovely tones and details.

A simple and effective shot, the backdrop suits the ivy perfectly
