These are dark days for Ireland. Our economy is in tatters and our
leaders have let us down. Worse than the wounds to national pride
is the desperation which the depression is bringing to individuals,
some of whom can no longer cope.
That's a brilliantly moody shot. Not just in terms of the colours, but also the angle; the suggestion that something threatening is looming over you and surrounding you. Unfortunately your economy is making headlines (of the Business section at least) down here as well.
An excellent image that certainly reflect the the mood for so many in Ireland in these so difficult economic times. I hope and pray that things will improve soon and that people will have the strength to get through it.
I hope the rest of Europe and the UK can pull together to sort things out a little, I fear they may be more Country's and people to follow. would you believe our local Councillors are refusing to take a pay cut, one of them earns twice as much as David Cameron.
The situation in Ireland is making news everywhere. I can only imagine how disappointed the Irish people are with their government. You've shot and posted a perfect image for the subject.
a spectral scene illustrating the gloom that must be settling over Ireland right now...exuberant jigs and reels will soon give way to the Bail Out Blues..
A very dark and looming photo. And suits your text. A few minutes ago, on CBC radio, I was listening to someone from Ireland talking about just this subject. One can only hope things will get better.
