After a very stormy night, it was back to clear skies and sunshine today.
I had to go to a local shopping centre today where the local MEP was
launching a jobs fair - the main message seems to be - go abroad
and get a job and if you're from abroad, then go back home. Ok, maybe
I'm being cynical but there's very little reason to be optimistic about the
Irish economy when the taxpayer is being asked to pay for the mistakes
of the banks and developers and the IMF is waiting at the door.
Anyway, instead of taking my car and paying for the privilege of marking,
I decided to walk the couple of hundred yards to the shopping centre and
enjoy some fresh air. I liked how the late afternoon sun caught the timbers
at the side of the Rampark River and the reflections of the near-bare trees.
