Tea and Short stories

I'm on holidays this week so the plan was to get out and about,
take loads of pics and maybe, just maybe, do some housework.
But I've got a cold, not a bad cold, but sufficient to make me
feel somewhat miserable and disinclined to venture out in the cold.
So I've spend today drinking lots of tea, going through pics on my
hard drive which I'd never processed or uploaded, and reading.
I like this 'retro fonts' mug as it reminds me of the old type which
was used for hand-set posters when I worked in 'The Dundalk Democrat'
when it was still printed on hot metal.

I can sympathise with your illness, having just come through one myself. This one's nicely lit; with the dark background keeping the eye's attention on the foreground objects. I think that choosing to keep the tea mug sharp while throwing the book out works well too; it doesn't so much matter what the specific book is, just the fact that it IS a book is enough to tell the story.

The mug with the word "Tea" on it immediately caught my eye! A very nice shot, and yes, nothing better than tea and stories when feeling under the weather.

News gal is in your blood, Mairead. I really like this image. Very architectural and structured (helped by the letters!)

A nice cup of hot tea and a good book. What more can one ask for? (OK, you don't have to answer that question).
