Props

My husband sometimes (rightly) accuses me of buying things to use
as props for my photos and yes, I have to admit, he is right.
I've bought soaps, candles, flowers and chocolates, and lots more,
all with a notion of how they might come in useful as props some day.
So I couldn't resist this bottle of beer when I was shopping in Sainsbury's
last night. Now, it mightn't be to my husband's taste at all, and I prefer
the fruit of the grape to barley, but I really liked the label. Not that I
would ever dream of buying a bottle of wine just because I liked the
label! Maybe my friends from Scotland can tell me if I made a
wise choice with this one.

Hehe Mairead, I missed this one somehow....yes a good choice, this Edinburgh brew, very appetising but it tastes better with the lid off ;)

A beautiful shot. Good capture of the frostiness. Makes me thirsty just to look at it!

I wouldn't dream of buying something only as a prop. Do it, yes, dream about it, no. But hey, worst case? 20 years from now you'll recall the Great Scottish Beer Experiment, an experience that you wouldn't have had but for this. There's a nice sharp focus on the label with a well chosen background here. I too am not sure about the "hints of toffee", but mainly because I'm visualising an unamused cat cleaning his paws in the background.

The labels great - but beer with "hints of toffee and vanilla"???? Nah, not for me!!

Nicely done bottle and nicely done photo:) I'm not a beer expert, but looks drinkable.

It is a cool looking label! Erm, I base all my wine buying decisions on the label - that and the price! lol
