Isn't funny, or maybe sad, how we get all wrapped up in our lives, our jobs, our hobbies, even pbase, so that
sometimes we don't have time for our friends or families.
I bought this orchid as a Christmas gift for a good friend, but it's still sitting in its clear wrapping on my front window.
Luckily I choose one with lots of buds so it will still be blooming whenever I get round to presenting it to her.
In mitigation, we were both very busy in the run-up to Christmas, then I disappeared off to the in-laws in Oldham and the weather has been pretty terrible with icy roads ever since.
This weekend, I am going to call to see her, present her with her gift, drink a cup of coffee and have a nice long chat.
Hopefully, unless, of course, something crops up in these busy 21st century lives of ours.
