Wild

It was a wild day as we say in Ireland. Stormy with heavy showers. These
horses look wild too as they galloped towards me, but in reality they were
quite friendly and just wanted some company.
It was a day for staying indoors. A day for reading, for drinking coffee before
venturing out for a few pics and some shopping.

I like all in this photo, the general feeling of wildness, which is echoed in the posture of horses and in the tree bending under the wind.
The picture is not gloomy at all, in spite of the grey sky, it’s full of life and quite beautiful!

A painted Shire seems very unusual. What a lovely capture.

A great, atmospheric shot, at first I just thought it was the trees in the wind, until I scrolled down and saw the beautiful horses. You really captured the mome with this. Voted.

Great pastoral scene, are these Gypsy horses? Looks like they are having fun...my Arab envies them for getting to be on grass. (No grass year round in my area...and no irrigated pastures in my area...got to drive an hour)

Big gentle giants...they'd probably do anything for a carrot or sugarcube :o) Lovely wild capture Mairead
Al Chesworth25-Oct-2009 19:39
Very sociable creatures, a great rapport can be gained with a carrot or mint.

Beautiful wildness here. Love the dark sky, although I am glad I live in sunny Texas. Very lovely shot, Mairead!!!
Neal Nye25-Oct-2009 11:23
The tree leaning slightly to the right makes it look very windy. It was brave of you to venture out!
