Carlingford

Had a much more relaxing day today, even if somehow or other I ended up in B&Q and Sainsburys!
Got my hair cut this morning, then went to Carlingford and had lunch in P J O'Hare's pub. Once owned
by a local councillor who claimed to have found the bones of a leprechaun high on the mountain above
the village, PJ's is a popular spot with locals and visitors. We realised that it must have been at least ten years
since we were last there - on our last visit our son was just a toddler.
We went down to Newry for some late night shopping. I'd foolishly said something about how 'we' must paint
the bathroom when I'm on holidays - and I'm being held to my word. So tomorrow, I'll be donning the rubber
gloves and getting out the sugar soap.

You have a knack for making a holiday break very busy indeed!! Lovely image of the castle here.

Nice shot, are the public allowed access to the castle? BTW "we" usually means "me" too ;-)

I hope you'll be wearing more than rubber gloves Mairead as paint tends to get everywhere.
But...it's your decision after all.
Carlingford looks interesting, great view from the castle.

A beautiful shot on a beautiful day. Not the sort of day one wants to think about painting bathrooms!
