The Deserted Village

Ballymascanlon in north Co Louth, once Ireland's smallest village, was built to house
workers from the nearby estate. The row of seven houses, which included
a post office and shop, is now sadly deserted.

An enchanting gallery full of artistic and interesting images. I love the details of decay you have captured and the way the shots of the fading flower blooms echo the fading beauty of this little place. Rather sad that such attractive cottages have been left empty and decaying. Great photography subject, however!

A totally lovely Gallery - beautifully seen and presented. There is a moodiness of a sweet and somewhat sad nostalgia for what was but also the uplifting surprise of such wonderful roses - just carrying on with life, although abandoned. ~GMV~
