This ring belonged to my late aunt, from whom I inherited it when she died. We shared the same birthday,thirty-two years apart and I was truly touched that she left me two of her rings, both of which I treasure. This one is special because of its amethyst. I love purple in all its tones from violet to mauve, to lilac, to lavender and to the palest amethyst. It is a stone that is found in the part of the country where I was brought up.
