This impossibly long, 90 meter shot of a shy and rare Philippine endemic made it to my elite list for the following reasons - rarity of bird, endemism, difficulty of capture and good technicals (framing, sharpness, exposure, background and pose). This pic, taken at 1600 mm with the Sigmonster + 2x TC, is one of those shots where the photographer wishes for perfect execution (shake control, MF accuracy and timing of shutter press) to squeeze out a half-decent image from that distance and focal length. As it turned out, everything went well and the equipment delivered to its potential.

It is absolutely amazing that you captured this shot at 1600mm -- fantastic work. The Sigmonster is an amazing lens. Voted.
