We saw a brown thrasher this morning on my deck in Boonsboro, MD. He seemed to be just checking out the ammenities of suet feeder, mealworms and black sunflower seed feeders.

I just saw a brown thrasher on my deck this morning. We have a lot of bird visitors daily with our suet feeder, meal worm feeder and black sunflower seed feeder for all to enjoy. I did not see this brown thrasher eating, he just seemed to be checking out the the ammenities.

Thank You, We have identified now in our yard in Hyattsville by Sligo Park a brown thrasher. I use your site all the time to identify birds we haven't seen yet.

I have a tail-less Thrasher! I always look at your photos to identify my birds, but could not figure out what one was. I have a thrasher with a tail, and just realized the other strange bird is a tail-less one! Thanks!

CHARLIE!!!! Thank you so much for your page. I recently moved to Waldorf, and live near a lake. I am becoming acquainted with so many lovely birds, 2 in particular have been frequenting the yard, and though they aren't very striking, I could not seem to peg them...until your page that is...they are a pair of Brown Thrashers...though my better half did not share my enthusiasm, I am over the moon at being able to idntify them finally...thanks so much for all you do!!! sam

Charly, this photos are a joy. You are my go to guy for bird ID in MD. This one of the Brown Thrasher surrounded by the red berries would be a great Christmas card.
