Nursery web spider (Pisaurina mira)

This large spider was on a shrub along a woodland edge. These spiders don't build webs to trap prey, but instead wander around looking for something to eat! The faint strands of a web probably have nothing to do with this spider.

He's got long legs to run fast. A pretty spider with his brown stripe. V.
