I thought that a green insect would be a good fit for the green challenge, so went looking for various of them today. Found this large stinkbug (about 15mm) hiding out in some leaves that just about match his own colouring. These are exceptionally common stinkbugs throughout the spring to fall season, and can be found on a variety of plants.
Until recently, they were known as Acrosternum hilare, which is how I usually label them, but recent taxonomic changes have come up with the name above.
